The explicit goal of Sarasota Rising is to unify the region’s arts and cultural assets into a powerful beacon. It is a nonprofit organization whose main initiative is creating and maintaining a weeklong multidisciplinary arts festival focused on the performing arts that celebrates Sarasota’s rich arts resources while using those assets to boost tourism and economic activity during the shoulder season. Year-round, Sarasota Rising promotes and supports all local arts and cultural organizations.
