A painter known for energetic, sensual works, Robyn Marie Holl will help Sarasota Rising deepen its commitment to celebrating local creativity and to supporting art education throughout the region. Her appointment to the Board of Directors reflects the organization’s mission to unite the area’s diverse arts community and to strengthen the cultural and economic life of the Cultural Coast.

Holl earned a Master of Fine Arts from the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She also completed a post-baccalaureate certificate at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Her work has been exhibited widely, including the Visionary Women series at the Columbia Art Center and international exhibitions in Sarajevo and Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Locally, Holl has been a familiar presence in Sarasota’s arts scene. She has served multiple terms as an Artist in Residence at the Art Ovation Hotel, where she also serves as Cultural Curator, and has been featured at Creative Liberties. Beyond her own practice, Holl mentors emerging artists and offers one-on-one critiques, underscoring her dedication to nurturing the next generation of creative talent.

Her addition to the Board of Directors coincides with Sarasota Rising’s preparations for the next Living Arts Festival, scheduled for November 8–15, 2026. The weeklong, interdisciplinary celebration showcases visual art, music, theater, and dance by established and emerging creatives alike, drawing families and arts lovers from across the region and supporting local businesses and arts education.

Founded in 2021, Sarasota Rising continues to build on the momentum of its successful inaugural festival, working alongside area arts organizations and the business community to spotlight the region’s rich cultural heritage year-round.
